bbh is proud to introduce Lauren Lebhar as our lunchtime and pastry chef. Ms. Lebhar first traveled to Vieques in 1993 and fell in love with island and its local fruits and flavors. She spent two seasons preparing meals for patrons at the New Dawn guesthouse (now La Finca Caribe ), and continued traveling to Vieques over the next twelve years.

Having spent many years in the northeast as a cook and pastry chef, she became a partner in her own restaurant in Rockport, Massachusetts infusing many of the tropical flavors and cuisines practiced in Vieques.

In 2003 Lauren moved full-time to Vieques and established Lola Magnolia, a specialty dessert company providing desserts for island restaurants and also cakes for special events, emphasizing the fruits of the tropics.

Last summer she joined Chef Christopher Ellis in opening bbh as the lunch and pastry chef. She offers visitors and locals alike, a fresh, eclectic menu and pastries to compliment your lunch or dinner. She continues to explore new and exciting ways to utilize the local fruits and ingredients that Vieques have to offer.

The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday and lunch is served from 11am–3pm. Brunch is served on Sunday from 11am-3pm.

Reservations are requested, but feel free to drop in, have a drink and visit our wine room.
